High-Quality Abrasives

Blastrite® is a specially selected and graded Platinum slag with sharp angular
particles, black in colour and particularly resistant to fracturing on impact.

With nearly a decade of experience, Blastrite continues to produce the best product in it's class, reliably shipping hundreds of tonnes daily globally.

A Proven, High Quality Machine.

BLASTRITE® Platinum Grit

Blastrite® is used where expendable abrasives are required for onsite abrasive blasting in shipyards, steel construction, oil refineries, power stations, offshore oil rigs and any blasting yard designed for diverse and flexible applications. The product is specially graded to optimise production whilst achieving designated surface preparation standards according to industry norms.

Microblast® Platinum Grit

Microblast® is a natural mineral abrasive, reddish/pink in colour, predominantly almandite consisting of sub-angular particles mined from an alluvial resource.

  • Produces a rough, uniform, matte finish with a sharp texture.
  • The grain shape and high bulk density result in a fast cutting and stripping abrasive.
  • May be disposed of in non-hazardous waste dumping sites unless contaminated with other hazardous materials.
  • Can be recycled up to five times without loss of performance, resulting in lower shipping, handling, collection and disposal costs.
  • Blast cleaning using garnet produces significantly lower dust emissions than other blast abrasives - resulting in minimal disruption and danger to adjoining operations, improved operator visibility, and lower cleanup costs.

How does it clean?

Dry ice cleaning uses solid CO, a non-abrasive media that won't damage surfaces or equipment. The super cooled dry ice pellets or particles are accelerated at supersonic speeds and sublimate on impact, resulting in the surface being cleaned, lifting dirt and contaminants off the underlying substrate

How it works...

Instead of abrasive media to grind surfaces (and damage them), Cold Jet uses dry ice (Solid CO2) accelerated at supersonic speeds that sublimate upon impact and lift contaminants from substrates.

We've been able to cut back on our use of chemical solvents. We use about 25% of what we used to, which makes us a much more environmentally responsible company

Matt Schrift Engineer Robotworx

It's better for the people and for the environment. This technology has shaved time and allowed us to reduce our use of chemicals.

Bob Hawkey Vers-Trim

Using dry ice cleaning reduces harmful air emission and generally creates no addition to the volume of the cleaning process waste stream...in-process machinery can be cleaned on-line, resulting in decreased labor cost and less down-time.
